Default Lock's Up

Something must of happened once again on Sunday the 5th. For when I tune in to RCU, within about two minutes the whole computer locks up. Only the arrow from the cursor works. Cannot make the browser buttons work, scroll bar (nope), and other items related.

Everything works fine, OK, up until about two minutes after visiting RCU. I see a "Loading" symbol begin, then it sort of stops at about 75%.

I am using the Mozilla web browser, and this is the only forum to which I have these problems. I am sending this from public terminal at local library.

How do I get back to where the system was on the 3rd, or 4th?

did you change anything on your system or change/upgrade your browser?

we had some issues on the 5th but they appear to be resolved. there were no code changes on our end. it was just a date issue in the forums

Is now late on 7th, (PST). and seems to be going as before, but now has more lag time from actual posting to release. Still goes through.

Was getting annoying in rebooting, eliminating cookies, etc. and still would lock up. Tried it four times on the 5th w/o results. I figure that whatever was done affected old time, set cookies.

Am using Microsoft Win 98 as the O.S. Using Mozilla 1.6 and 1.7 for the browser. In mentioning this at other (Non-R/C) forums, they think it because your webmaster was trying to install a bit of software to which is not supported by the Mozilla group. I had noticed that the Download meter which runs along the taskbar, had indeed stopped at about 75%. That was when the whole thing locked up.

Mozilla does not have a whole bunch of add-ons which support various animated pictures or software. I never go for the * "Add Plug-in" for already know it will stall my running. Often times they omit the Fit the actual screen parameters.

I think this is a win98/mozilla issue for sure. we have not changed any code but it could be a flash banner that is using a new flash player version that your older browser/system does not have or support. This could be a great time to upgrade with Vista coming out soon!
