Video Posting Problem with RCU
Hey friends,
I have a problem and I'm hoping some of you video savvy gurus could help a video noobie out?
I have taken about 6 months of video footage and squeezed it down to 4 min. 25 sec. and have been able to format it to a wmv. file using Windows Movie Maker. Last night, I went to RCUVideos.com and tried uploading the file which is 62MB. The upload was slow (around 2 1/2 hrs) but everything seemed to go good until the file was completely uploaded. If I understand it correctly, RCU will post the video on their site shortly after it has been uploaded. Well, I have yet to find my video anywhere on RCUVideos.
Any & all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for reading,
Shayne

If the video file has been successfully uploaded to the site you should see it under the "My Videos" link. If it's not there then the upload failed.

RE: Video Posting Problem with RCU
Hey guys,
The browsers I've used are AOL, Internet Explorer & Mozilla. All which were unsuccessful in the end. I checked my "My Videos" several times and it just says "No Videos Yet". I'm at a loss.
Thanks for responding,
Shayne

Another thing.....
When the upload was finished, a message popped up next to a thumbnail that looked something like a paintshop thumbnail with different colored shapes in it. The message stated this was my icon that would be displayed for the video and I could change it if I wanted to. I thought those thumbnails were suppose to be a snapshot of the very 1st clip of your video, unless you changed it? I hope this isn't too confusing. I'm still a brand noobie with this video stuff.
Thanks again,
Shayne

RE: Video Posting Problem with RCU
The format is wmv. I'm using Windows Media. Now, if you go to my RCU video site it has the video posted there. However, when you click on the vid. to play it, it appears as though there was only a fraction of a second that was uploaded. It shows just a blip of a second at the beginning of the video then it goes into a "buffering" mode and locks up.
Help!

Ok....
Now, the video works perfectly but only for about 15 seconds out of a 4 min+ video. When it was uploaded, it appeared to upload the entire video. Any ideas?

Here is the RCUVideos.com link. It only plays for about 15 sec. on RCU. I hope this works. I have been unsuccessful in other attempts to upload.
Thanks for the help,
Shayne

RE: Video Posting Problem with RCU
Ok, this is totally strange. The link I just sent in the above post was the link that has only been showing 15 sec. of video which I posted in RCUVideos. However, when I post it here in RCU it works perfectly! Although, it is very "grainy". Hey, at least it's playing now.
Thanks guys,
Shayne
