A long time ago it was possible when looking at a topic in the forms to see the first line of all the responses without having to open that thread. They were in a stair step pattern. It sure saved a lot of time in choosing something which could be relevent to what was being looked for, since I am on dial up. Where did that feature go?

This option was removed shortly after launch. I don't recall why however.

that would be the threaded view...so many people used the flat view we did away with threaded so we would not have to support two templates and to speed up load times for the 99%+ that were using flat
