Default Linking a post?

I guess this is so simple I missed it. But I can't find the answer anywhere.

How do I link a particular post in a thread, like to send in an email?

I can copy the url, but that opens up at the top of a thread. I want to send a link to a specific post, like the way it comes in my email for new posts.

Click on the Post# (bottom right of thread message/post box). A prompt will appear that shows the URL that can link to that specific message.

Email that URL instead of the one shown at the top of your browser.
