Not getting subscriptions

If you're on AOL, I'm having the same problems as you are.
I just did a live chat with an AOL rep and he told me to do the following:
Go to AOL Keyword: Spam Controls.
Click on "Advanced Spam Filters" and lower your level to medium, low or off. I'm trying mine at medium for now.
Turn off both the Sender and Content filters if they aren't already.
I'm not guaranteeing anything but maybe this will work for you. If not, contact them using the "Help' button at the top of your AOL toolbar and either send them a message or chat live to a rep.

I am also having the same problem. I kept wondering why no one was writing in the forums I subscribed to, went to the forums and there were all these new posts, I didn't get the email notification.
I have gone in my email program, checked all the spam letters, turned off spam and still nothing.
So now I have to figure out which posts I wanted to keep up with and look them up individually.

Guys,
It's not just AOL. I'm on Comast and mine works for awhile, stops and then will start again. I have mine set to notify once until I log in but that's not it. I'm in and out of here several times a day. I love working from home for someone else.

I may have found the problem but am waiting to hear from Marc on this.
I subscribed to a forum although I didn't post in it. That thread I got an e-mail notification from as it came in under subscriptions@, not blackhole@ . He's still working on it I guarantee you.
What you might have to do for now is uncheck the box at the bottom of the replies then use the "Subscribe to this thread" at the top of the thread for now and see if that works for you.

I think marc lives about 40 miles North of me.
Well he should be able to sort out the bugs on AOL.
Servers are so darn complex today you have to give those guys a lot of credit for knowing what to do and where to look

Hi again Ron,
I been on the phone with AOL in VA almost every night
Strange thing is several members all with in a 1/2 mile of my location have no problem.
Their all cable and i'm just on dial up modem
They sent me a letter that came to three pages printed out and I went through everything only to have the same problem.
Not sure why they want that spam slider set to medium.
I don't know about the other AOL members here but after I went through all the things listed my spam went to just about zero and all Yahoo list are now all coming in with no problems.

That's the only way that I can get my subscriptions to RCU but I haven't tried switching back over yet. The problem that I see is that I only get sent one notification per thread subscribed to and unless I have replied in any of them since changing over to my Yahoo account I won't get any more to those.
I've got my account set up so that I'm automatically notified of replies. In your normal reply box, you have two boxes, one that says "Notify me via e-mail when someone replies" and the other, "Return to Forum after posting" and below that the "OK" button to post your reply or thread.
Nopw, way up at the top of this screen in the right corner in yellow there you should see either "Remove subscription" or "Subscribe" and "Printable version" next to that.
I've found that if I unchecked the box below then changed the one above to "Subscribe" then I got them through Almost OnLine.
I'm a computer idiot and somehow I figured this out. I get lucky sometimes. The next thing is to get AOL to fix the problem. Maybe we can get Marc to change "blackhole@.........." to something else as blackhole seems to be the word that isn't allowing the e-mails to be recieved.
