I don't know what server I am on, but it's got the large thumbnail bug on it.

always need to know which server. if it is your pic you are uploading go to community or magazine sectoin, scroll to bottom of page and find out if on rcu1,2,3,4 or 5

I'm having the giant thumbs problem in the forums

when I go to Magazine I see RCU5 at the bottom. I don't see a server number in the forums.

I need to know if you are getting large thumbs AFTER upload. if you just see them it doesn't mean that is the server they were created on. Only those who have tried to upload an image and see immediately it does not thumbnail should then go to any area of the site besides the homepage or forums and at bottom check server id and report it so we can cycle that server

what browser and OS are you using?

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.7 on XP SP2
I have the same issue with IE 7.

I did some testing..

Images under 200k or so post fine..
It appears that the thumb size is now corrected..

Images over 200k get the Request Object Error.

I was testing with 45k, 176k and 241k files.

The attached file was 176k.. the 241k file failed

I did notice, depending on the server, that some will allow larger photos to be uploaded. There is one server that will only allow very small photo sizes to be uploaded. I apologize that I do not have these server numbers.

awesome clue...there is a setting I think that prohibits files over 200k in the Operating system that i have to increase. Wouldn't be the first time I forgot this detail on a new server! thanks for the huge clue...I'm working on it now..

ok..please test now if you are on rcu5 a file larger than 200k. I think it is fixed

looks like all is good again.

if things flare up just let us know. the thumbnailer will occasionally balk and stop working and requires just a reboot of that server to repair

Will Giant thumbnails be corrected or would we have to go back and re-upload them?

users must reupload so they resize...we cannot post process them programmatically
