Difficulty in posting replies and messages

Hi, I have been facing a nagging problem in posting replies and messages. After composing a reply or message, and clicking on OK, it takes a long time to upload and I will get a "page cannot be displayed" error. The only thing that works 50% of the time is by going into history, then clicking on the link for the thread, and using the fast reply box. If I use the reply button, I can see a "error on page" when I place the cursor in the message box. I have tried the following measures without any improvement: deleting cookies and temp internet files, using firefox browser, using another PC in another location. I'll appreciate any help here! BTW, I have no problems at all with posting in other RC forums.

I'm not sure my problem is the same, maybe I don't understand yours.
Mine is a "time" thing where I will have the message open for ten minutes or so ands when I finally get around to posting a reply (in any box that's showing) it will show an error and all my typing has been lost. This has been happening for me over a year and the way I get around it is to copy my text or just refresh the page before posting.
Are our problems the same?

sounds like you have a network issue. did you run a traceroute to our site. the page load time you show is fast so there does not appear to be an issue there. shows page generation time of .656 seconds. if you can run a traceroute you should see if somewhere along the route you are getting slow or missing packets. this will cause all the issues you are experiencing

Marc, it can't be a network issue because all other websites are working fine. No posting issue at all with other rc websites. Posting in RCU is becoming like a lottery. Even after viewing a few threads, the page opening speed gets increasingly slower to the point I can't open any new thread, and I have to get out and into RCU repeatedly.
