I have a post in the forums I want to delete.I want to get rid of the the post how does a person get rid of it thanks.

there's an edit button above the posting if it isn't too old.

You cannot completely delete the post, but like guver stated you may edit out the content almost completely. If you wish to post a link to the post in question, one of the moderating staff can remove it for you.

The easy thing is to click REPORT and it will create a ticket and send it to the moderator of that forum.
