AVG8 is nasty... I loved AVG 7.5, but 8 is just over the top, and its linkscanner feature causes a lot of web servers issues.

It scans every link on every page you visit, (a mega pain if you had dialup!) it overloads servers because every single visitor with AVG8 visiting a site could effectively be loading a few hundred to a few thousand links at once, depending on the amount of links on a page... I made the switch to NOD32, and love it!!

Oh how I hate firefox, and writing pages to conform to it none of the browsers stick to common standards these days write a page for one and quite often it shows up completely different depending on the browser used. I hate how firefox blands everything out (odd font) and messes with certain pages, though it has a better page loading strategy (no different with a fast connection) and greasemonkey scripts - they're the good points.

If you are using AVG8, disable LinkScanner and be amazed at the difference...
