On my posts after 1/1/2010 the Edit target in the upper right corner of my post is there. On posts that I made before 1/1/2010 the Edit target is missing. Occasionally I may need to make a change to an item (such as a hyperlink) in an earlier post but can't do it. Why is this happening?

This is a function of the RCU system software. All posts are locked from being edited after 60 days. If you need something changed in a post then you'll need to contact a moderator for that forum and have them make the change for you.
