i would like to build a fpv truck first and would like to know if i should be running spectrum or pcm ?what antena should i choose on the radio ? i`d eventually like to put this setup in my cub

You'll have similar range issues on land as in the air only your LOS will be lost much quicker. I would start with your existing radio system and then work on an upgrade, if needed.
