Default RC gps

Hey everyone,

My interest in building a GPS guided aircraft over the last few years has gotten much more serious. I am not sure what type of systems are available so I will explain what my friend and I have been discussing. Please let me know if this type of onboard guidance is possible. Also I understand there are AMA rules to govern these types of things but with these rules put aside. If I wanted to build a plane that I could take off, select gps mode, then turn off the transmiter and the plane would use a onboard GPS system to fly the plane to a preprogrammed location and altitude, then circle until it recieved a signal from the transmiter then either land manually or use a auto land system.

I really have no clue as to what type of flight systems are available or any idea on where to look.
Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks

Might check to see what these people have to offer, a little pricey, but may be what you looking for.

I know there are systems available, I've seen them demonstrated on YouTube, try Eagle Tree. Forget about the AMA, who cares what they think, we don't need more laws. Just be responsible.
