Default Changing Crystals

Hi Guys I am using a Futaba 6XAS on channel # 36 I have 6 planes on the same number 36..Today I recieve a "hit" which almost totaled my Cloud Dancer 60 which was built from a kit Took me months to finished..

I would like to change RX & TX crystals..I'm getting conflicting stories from some of the experts that I fly with.
Question is can I just change both crystals, say too 40 or whatever is in the high band. Or do I need to "reprogram" the TX to the new crystal?

Thanks Dan

Dan,

You may change the receiver crystals, but you cannot change the transmitter crystals in any radio as it is against FCC regulations.

To change the crystals in a transmitter, the radio MUST be retuned to the new channel by an authorized service center.

I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our product support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.
