14MZH / 14MZ differences

Hi,
I am in the market for a 14MZ however my local hobby store only has the MZH in stock. I would prefer the MZ (aircraft version) but it may be some time before they have one in stock. He assures me that the only difference in the heli version defaults to heli mode for new model setups and the heli does not have a rachet on throttle. I was also told that the rachet can be enabled by turning a screw through the back of the case therefore no disassembly required.
I am curious as to what other differences may exist between the 2. The differences I have been told about are so suttle that I find it hard to understand why Futaba would bother to market both systems.
Should I get the Heli version or should I wait for the Aircraft version to come into stock?

Peter

Basically, the transmitters are identical. Some differences include locations of a few switches on the top of the transmitter, the ratchet on the throttle, and the programming default when the transmitter is first turned on. Futaba makes the two different transmitters because there are people who just have to have a "heli" transmitter if they are primarily a heli flyer. However, it's super easy to move the switches around on the 14MZ
Changing the ratchet on the throttle is descibed on page 17 of the instruction manual.

Thanks for the reply Bill.
How difficult is it to update the software defaults from heli to aircraft. Is this something I can do or would it need to be returned to a service centre.

Peter
