R6008HS Receiver Repair
Baxter;
I've got a R6008HS receiver that has been in a crash, subsequently, it does not work. I can see that at least one surface component is missing from the circuit boards. I'm sure that it is due to the crash it sustained.
Would it be worth my time and money to send this receiver into the Service Center or should I just throw it away and buy a new one?0

RE: R6008HS Receiver Repair
Likely, repair cost will amount to a very significant part of a new receiver. Labor alone will be at least $40.00 if only one hour is needed. It's also likely that the circuit board, itself, sustained damage, which is not repairable.
Basically, we'd recommend against a repair. Such damage means that even a good-quality repair may be unreliable due to more things being broken than can be found on the bench. Those other problems may only manifest after motor vibration affects the unit...and that may happen after a few flights. No way to tell.
