I wonder if there is a way to trigger a beep with the throttle stick (say from 100% full throttle back to 50%) for 12Z?

Unfortunately, no, the 12Z does have the abilitly to set certain sounds, but they are associated with trims, timers, error warnings, etc.

It just does not have the ability for call out sounds in a WAV file as does the 14MZ.
