I am experimenting with the programming in my 8FGS and am working on the Throttle cut and Idle down menus. Throttle cut is set by a percentage but idle down is "measured" by offset. I was wondering if you could explain the term "offset" to me.

When you use Throttle Cut, you are setting an absolute position as regards to the amount of total throw of the function. With Idle Down, you are moving from the current position, so you are offsetting from the current position.

I'm still not sure I get it, although by looking at the Servo display and using some loose servos I can see the results when I adjust it. These 8FGS's are great radios. I had a 10 CAG and sold it to buy a second 8FGS (one heli and one air). Now that I've made the plunge I'm determined to learn these suckers!
