We are using a 6ex-2.4 as a master trainer to 8fgs as slave trainer using standard buddy cord. Everything works with 2 exceptions. We are unable to get dual rates and expo to work on the slave or student transmitter. We have the 6ex setup to control the plane and it works perfectly with the instructor operating it. When he pulls the trainer switch forward the student transmitter operates at high dual rate without expo. Any suggestions as to how to make this work would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hi Jim,
With the 6EX FASST as the Master, you do not have the option of a "Trainer Menu" where you can select Mix, Norm, and Func, allowing you to let the Student radio access to these settings.
For a Student radio to be able to access all of this from the Master radio, the Master radio needs the ability to set these functions and mixes in the Trainer menu.
Sincerely,

Thanks for your reply! We had set the radios up as mentioned in the original post because of a problem with the 8fgs radio's switches. Using the momentary switch on the right side of the transmitter is strange for the trainer instructor. Out of all the radios that we have (7) , this is the only radio with the switch on the right side of the transmitter. Can your service people switch the momentary switch to the left side of the transmitter (to be more typical with other transmitters) without voiding the warantee on the transmitter? The 6ex transmitter is an example of what we want. if so, how long will it take and approximately what would be the cost?
Thanks for your help.
Jim
