8J questions
Hello
What is the power output of the 8J compared to the 8FG? Is the J series full power output or a park flyer reduced?
Also is the difference between the FASST and the FHSS the error correction the FASST receiver has, where the FHSS is only reading the data stream straight?
Thanks Tom

RE: 8J questions
Hi Tom,
The 8J has the same power output as the 8FG, 100mw.
The 8J is a full range system.
Yes, the FASST is a hybrid system that has error checking.

RE: 8J questions
Could you please explain me what do you mean wthen you say " FASST is a hybrid system that has error checking "
Is that means that the other one is more prone to interferences?
Thank you very much.

RE: 8J questions
No, the FASST system is simply more sophisticated than the FHSS, thus FHSS is more economical to produce. The FHSS is not "more prone to interference". It is as rock solid and dependable as FASST.

RE: 8J questions
Just trying to understand... you indicated that "FASST system is simply more sophisticated than the FHSS". How should we decide which protocol is best suited for our flying style?
Will one protocol allow for telemetry software upgrades in the future?
Frankly was hoping Futaba would release a more reasonably priced telemetry system...
