Default 8FG Throttle Stick Rachet

After a lifetime of Futaba 72MhZ use, I finally made the move to FASST. Many years ago, I dabbled in Heli's and reversed the rachet on my throttle stick, on my 8C (very easy) and that made it a smooth operation. I mainly fly 3D aircraft and love the smooth throttle. In looking into doing that on my new 8FG, it doesn't appear to be as simple. How can I make my throttle stick a smooth operation rather than the rachet?

Thanks
Bob

In the past I'd put a small piece of fuel tubing or heat shrink over the ratchet spring. Haven't done it to a newer radio

Yes, easy to do on older, like my 8U, but I just reversed the spring, but the newer ones appear different.
