Concerning the use with a 14mz what is the difference with these two modes?

Is Failsafe still available using the 7Ch mode?

The two receivers are a R617FS and the R6008HS. Besides having one more channel available what
are the advantages and disadvantages using 1 over the other?

Multi mode offers failsafe on all channels. 7-channel mode has failsafe on the throttle only. That, and the number of channels available are the differences. They are both "full-range" receivers.
