Antenna Length and guage Futaba 72mhz?
Can anyone tell me the proper receiver antenna wire guage and length for my
Futaba FP-T4NBL AM72
SN 00239033
72.670 Channel 44
The portion that was "flying" loose out the back of the fuselage (approx 6 in ) has broken off.
I plan on replacing the entire antenna. Soldering to the pc board.

RE: Antenna Length and guage Futaba 72mhz?
Hi rborloz,
While we can not recommend that anyone change their receiver wire, as this can cause serious problems such as loss of reception and major interference issues, and also void any warranty that you may have on your radio system.
If you are very good with a soldering iron, and safety consideration (do a COMPLETE and thorough ground check, after for safety purposes) and the warranty are not a issue, you would want to look for 22 gauge wire, and the length will be:
approximately 19 1/2" for surface
approximately 39 1/2" for Air
I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.
