Default T14sg external volt and rx question

I need to set up the external volt tememetry
the owners manual says to use the port on the 7008 rx and the external volt cable
but don't apply power to that port until power to main rx supply
should I NOT use that port for measuring motor battery volts?
For 3S and 4S batteries
Maybe by using this port there will be more hear generated which is never a good thing
And use the external volt sensor Instead?
if so
i will need 2 s bus plugs for also the gps sensor
instead of the 4port s bus and a cird
can I just use a normal y harness futaba cord?
which would take up less room
i assume that the terminal block is only jumping the terminals of each wire

Is it possible to have 2 configurations on one linked rx?
i have 2 different wings for a sailplane - one spillers
and a second with aileron and flaps
after linking an rx can I name 2 different aircraft on it so I can configure the programming different on each?

Once a receiver is linked to the transmitter, it stays linked no matter which model is selected in the transmitter. This means that you can use different model memories with different model configurations and still work with the one receiver.

As far as the external voltage connection is concerned, It's normally used with a second airborne battery pack. For the motor battery, it may be better to use the voltage sensor. If you have multilple sensors, you can use an S-bus hub or a Y-harness to add more connections. It just depends upon what your needs are.
