Default SBD-1 Question

I just had an new SBD-1 go bad while setting up a new model. The servo quit working suddenly. I traced the problem to the SBD as the servo worked correctly etc. I thought maybe the channel programming was lost so I rechecked it with a SBC-1. It would only blink fast continually and would not allow me to program the SBD-1. I the programmed another new SBD-1 and all worked correctly. I will send the bad one in for warranty.

I am using the SBD-1's with a R7008SB receiver on high voltage (A123). Is high voltage a problem with an SBD-1?
I assumed that since the SBD-1's were made for receivers capable of high voltage, they would accept high voltage.

Please advise.

Thank you

According to the instructions:

"Power requirement:Ni-Cd, Ni-MH 4 to 5 cells equivalent battery (Futaba)"

Higher voltage supplies may cause difficulties.
