Can I use my 8J as the master and a 6X super as the student?
Do I need Futaba part MDTC cord, if I can use the two radios?

According to the transmitter's instruction manual, you'll need this part:

FUTM4420 MDTC TRNR CORD MICRO/ROUND PLG US$14.99

These parts can be ordered through any hobby retailer who sells Futaba systems and accessories.
