Hello,
I recently converted a never used Futaba FP-T8UAP PCM 1024 system with S9202 servos to 2.4ghz using the Futaba TM-8 RF and R6008HS receiver and noticed imprinted on the receiver "Digital Servos Only". Are the aforementioned servos "Digital"? And if not, are all my servos collected in the 35 years I have enjoyed this hobby (you can tell I guess that there has been a long hiatus by the age of my system ) now all obsolete?

Thank you Bill. I would assume that the instructions the came with the conversion kit ( I'm not sure if I have it ) will tell me how to set for normal or high speed? Also in reference to "high speed", is that the speed of the signal or an increase in servo speed. Please forgive my ignorance as my hiatus from the hobby has been lengthy.

"High speed" is the rate at which the receiver updates position information to the servo. It does not increase the speed of the servo, nor reduce the reaction time. It does, though, allow the servo to hold a position better.
You can download both the manual for the transmitter and the instruction sheet for the receiver from here:
