Default 12z to 18sz?

I have a new 18sz and would like to move my 22 model memories from my old 12z... Is this possible? I have been looking at the model converter utilities, but so far have not found anything that will allow the 18sz to see the converted/copied model memories...

TIA!

There isn't a conversion tool for that. You'll have to enter the models into the 18SZ manually.

Are the file formats available? I am more than capable of creating my own converter once I have the file formats...

TIA for your help!

Futaba has not released the file formats.

Bax,

Thanks for the disappointing reply... In this day and age it is not reasonable that Futaba is making upgrading your radio so hard! Why is upgrading your radio not as easy as getting a new cell/smart phone? At least I want to stay with Futaba -- unlike cell phones where people change manufacturers all of the time -- and it is easy too...

Is there any mechanism to request this information from Futaba?

Right now, the only way to convert the files would be to load them into a 14MZ, which will convert the 12Z file to the 14MZ file. Then use the file converter to convert the 14MZ file to the 18SZ format.

We don't know if Futaba is working on a conversion file or update to the conversion program to include 12FG and 12Z transmitters.

It's easy to get cellphone upgrades because millions are made each year, not just a few thousand.

I borrowed a 14MZ and loaded the models from my 12z into it and saved them back out to the CF card. I cannot seem to find the 14MZ to 18SZ converted that you mentioned. Can you please provide a link to that utility?

Sorry, I skipped a step. There's no conversion from 14MZ to 18SZ. You need to load the 14MZ file into an 18MZ, which will then convert the 14MZ file to the 18MZ format. Then you can use the file converter.
