Ann..

I saw somewhere in this forum that they took the diode out of the new 9-C radio. Can we now charge and discharge the TX battery through the transmitter? Thanks...Robert

I'm not Ann but I own the 9CA, and yes you can charge and discharge the Tx without any modifications.

I think he was asking to do it without removing the battery pack. I would not recommend jumpering out the diode. Just use a high capacity pack (www.radicalrc.com) and fly for hours per charge

I also have the 9cap and you do not have to remove the diode because there isn't any in this radio. they added some type of override circuit or circuit breaker instead of the diode so charging is know done directly through the charge jack with all types of chargers

That is what i thought, but wanted to make sure. I was wanting to discharge thru the charging jack on the TX. I am sure glad they finally removed the diode. Thanks..

Geistware you are right it does show in the manual to remove battery for cycling. That part of the manual must be a reprint from the old manual cycling info. Daz...

The preproductions had a diode. The production radios use the new circuit.
