Default 8U Super Trainer function

AnnMarie,

I finally tried hooking a simple 4 channel buddy box up to my 8U Super to see how the trainer function worked. For the most part I was very impressed! I used my BTE Delta Vortex as it has the most complex mixing of all of my models. It uses 6 channels, two for the elevons, two for the rudders, one each for the nose wheel steering and the throttle. The rudders are mixed together with the nose wheel steering and have offset mixes that flip them out for speed brakes. My question is that when using the buddy box the dual rates did not seem to have any effect? I typically use dual rates instead of ATV to set my control travel limits. If I want the buddy box to have softer control throws do I have to do via ATV?

As always, thanks in advace for your help and for your continued participation in these forums.

Cheers!

Galen

Galen,
Your student should have use of all of your functions; however, it will not see your adjusted "high rates", you are correct. You would need to adjust the ATVs or adjust the student radio's travels.
