I just bought one of these and find on the Futaba packaging that it is to be used in ONLY park and slow fliers because of reduced range. Can you quantify this for me? I purchased this for a combat plane and am now thinking that it might not be capable.

I still don't have a formal official number from Futaba; however, to give you some comparison/idea numbers, this is what our R&D team recommends:
"From the comparison testing that I have completed, I would not recommend this receiver for more than 1500 feet in the air (900 feet on the ground). But these distances are what I consider safe, based on the receiver comparison tests, compared to Hitech FEATHER-- 500ft air, Electrifly 4 and 5 ch 1200ft in air."

Thank's alot for your swift response. With those numbers I feel confident that this receiver should be up to the task-- I couldn't envision being more than 1000 Feet away, much less 1500.
