Mrs. Cross,
I recently setup my 8UAFS for my P-40 that has dual aileron servos and a single flap servo. I used the FAQ (http://www.futaba-rc.com/faq/faq-8u-q177.html) to do this and it works well. But I was wanting to change the flap knob to the left (channel 6) knob instead of the right knob (Channel 7 I think).
But my ailerons are plugged into channels 1 and 6. I know the 8U isn't fully switch assignable but I was wondering if I could do this assignment?
Thanks.

Actually I don't use flaperons at all. But I had problems getting the ailerons working correctly with it plugged into channel 7 (hence why I found and followed the FAQ to get everything working)..
I'll just stick with it now and once I figure out how much flap I want, assign that amount to a switch.
Only reason I ask is I like to be able to have my switches/knobs that effect my right handed controls, on the left side of the transmitter. For example controls for flaps, retracts, etc.. , which effect elevator (right hand), I like on the left side. Controls that effect throttle (left side), I like on the right side (throttle cut).
Thanks.

Norris,
No worries. If you'd like to try, just move your 2nd aileron servo to 7. make flaperon INH, and then make AIL DIFF active and set up any differential if you want any at all.
