Hi AMC
My 9c is fairly (1 month) new but I have the "older" version (short knobs, no chip update)
I was using the 3 knobs and one of them came off very easily. I lightly pulled on the other two and they also came off with no effort at all. Is there a way to hold these down better, or better yet can I replace them with the new taller knobs (what's the item #)? Would they still be loose?
Also, when its time to send the radio in for service and it is not under warrantee, would you still do the software update at no charge?
Thank you
Mike

Mike,
1. Yes the software upgrade will be done at any time no charge whenver the radio is here for service.
2. the knobs are a slide-on, yes, and no i know of no way to tighten them down. yes when the taller knobs are available you can purchase those and replace them with those.

The original shipments of 9C have a VERY obscure bug in the softare. if you fly gliders, 4 wing servos, with vtail, and butterfly, and use the built in elevator compensation, one tail servo gets more command than the other. This affects roughly 1% of the radio's users.
ALL radios sent in for service at any time will get this replaced as a free service upgrade while the radio is here for other reasons. Please DO NOT DO NOT send us your radio to replace your processor unless you actually use this combination of features or your radio is here for another reason.
