Default 9C synth module

Gentlemen/Ladies,

Just received my 9C synth module and I have a bit of a poser for you. Maybe I missed something.

On the top of the module above the frequency set dials is a slide switch labeled "freq setting.........open".
What is this for and when is it used. The user instructions that came with the unit doesn't mention anything about it.

Also, will this module use more power than the standard single frequency module?

Thank you, as always, your time and help is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: OOPS. I went back a month or so on the posts and found my answer. Apparently all it does is slide a clear plastic cover over the dials after they have been set to protect them from accidental slipping or damage.

NEVERMIND!

Default RE: 9C synth module

Power consumption is slightly higher than the non-synth module, but not enough to drastically-shorten the afternoon's flying.

We're glad to hear you found the solution to your question about the door over the dials.
