Default 9CAPS Trainer function question

I have started teaching my wife to fly using a Sig Kadet and have run into something that is proving to be a royal PITA. Why does the trainer function inhibit when switching away from the Kadet to another model? The manual says for safety reasons, but I don't understand that.
Seems to me it would be safer to leave it as is.
Is there a way to make the trainer function stay enabled for the Kadet memory?
TIA -Rob-

Default RE: 9CAPS Trainer function question

THE trainer switch is also used for snaps.
Both are disabled until one is enabled.
