Default 14MZ throttle cut problem

I set up one of my jets on my 14mz and turned on the throttle cut function and assigned it to switch H. It worked perfectly until I turned off the radio. When I turned it back on I get a warning message saying throttle cut is on, do I want to continue? If I hit continue it goes to the main screen but there is no RF Link, if I want the radio to come up normally I go into the menu and deactivate the throttle cut and cycle the power. I have made sure that the throttle cut is not in the on position when I turn on the radio.

Can someone please give me some sort of insight?

Thanks,

Patrick.

This is normal. The transmitter is warning you that hazardous switch settings are present, and that you should change them before you transmit. It's to prevent flying a model in a condition that may make it difficult, if not impossible to control. You have to reset the switch, and then cycle the power. Remember to let the transmitter fully shut down before turning it back on.

If you turn off the mix before selecting the "Yes" to continue, the screen changes to the "Transmit? Yes/No" screen. You can then select "Yes" and get ready to start up.

Default RE: 14MZ throttle cut problem

I found that I didn't like the scheme Futaba uses for throttle cut for a variety of reasons. As a workaround, I set up a simple dual rate for the throttle channel which I assigned to a switch. When the switch is activated, the throw going towards low throttle is increased which kills the engine. I also included a warning sound in the form of a wave file so I'll know if I accidently activate it in flight. The nice part is that it won't kill the engine unless the throttle stick is already in its lowest position. Also, when turning the radio on, I get the warning tone I assigned if the switch is activated, but the radio will still transmit normally. Works good for me. Hope this helps!
