Default throttle to smoke mix

I have a 9C radio and i want to mix a channel (say channel 6) to my throttle. I want to mix in smoke to my throttle. (not just only on a switch)
As i am a COMPLETE idiot when it comes to computer radios, could someone run me through it step by step?
I have been to the Futaba page and pretty much did what they said and for some reason it still doesn't work. The only thing i didn't see in the futaba page was that they didn't mention a step i saw in the menu that said "Link". I tried it on and off and didn't seem to matter.
The menu went as follows:

Mix: on
Mas: thro
Slv: aux1
Link: (on or off?)
SW: C
Posi: down

I'm sure it's just something I'M doing wrong. Maybe someone could point it out!

Any info you guys could help me with would be greatly apprecitated!
Thanks,
Craig

What, exactly, are you trying to do? Are you trying to set up the smoke so that it comes on only when the throttle in above a certain position AND when a switch is in a certain position? So that if the switch is "off" you get no smoke?

You'll need to use Pmix 6 or 7:
