I have now had the same problem occur three times at different locations with my system. I will get everything set up and do a range check with engine off and only have ~10 feet of range. When I return to the shop to try to determine what is wrong I can not repeat the problem everything passes range checking with engine on or off, I even returned to the flying field and put in multiple error free flights between problems (range checking before each flight) it seems like either everything works perfectly or I have about 10 feet of range. What should I try to resolve this problem?

Hi jhatton,
First I would suggest sending the receiver in to be checked at the very least before you attempt to fly again. This may be an intermittent problem, but why risk losing a plane to a receiver that you are not sure of? Also you before sending this in, you may want to check your crystal in your receiver. Since this problem seems to occur after transporting it to and from the field, jolting may be causing a bad crystal to give you poor range.
I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.
Sincerely,

I will try swapping out my reciver with a different one from one of my other planes and see what happens... if the problem goes away I will send the unit in for servicing
