9C crow mode

Hi,
First time on this forum so forgive me if this has been covered before!
I am flying an Ultra Stick with four surface wing. Some time ago I downloaded a set of instructions to set up crow mode, and they work in the following manner:
- only the outboard surfaces function in aileron or ailevator mode
- the inboard surfaces function strictly as flaps
- to achieve crow mode I have to lower the flaps with the left slider, then deflect the ailerons separately on a toggle (I use switch C).
Is this the way things have to be? I had hoped to use both the inner and outer surfaces for ailerons, and also would like to hit one switch to go to crow mode although that is optional; four surface ailerons is more my goal.
What kinds of setups are possible, and can I download instructions somewhere for those? I confess I am a bit wet behind the ears with radio programming.
Thx
Mike D
