Default More Indepth Manual for 14MZ

Since the manual we recieved with the radio is so vague and missing instructions on the use of a lot of the functions, do you know if there is a more indepth manual being written by Futaba or anyone else that will be of more help? Of course I know I would have to pay for this but I have had my radio for 6 months and while I am getting better at programming it, there is so much about it that I do not understand what and when use I am more than willing to invest a few dollars more.

Krysta,

I agree with bluestratos, the current 14MZ manual leaves a lot of the technical programming issues out and Futaba should take a bit more interest in providing a more in-depth looks at this. There are just too many instances of very high-level descriptions on radio functions which can be confusing.

What's more, I recently sent back a radio to service and when it came back it had new software features, e.g. the H/W Reverse button changed to a Hardware Setting sub-menu with additional settings in it. I would expect an addendum to come out as Futaba has normally done with their manuals, but in the case of such a high-tech radio, it demands a little more consideration (if anything, at least due to the cost of the radio alone).

Hope Futaba takes another look at this and reverts their decision to not make a "proper" 14MZ manual!

This is not what I was looking for, Futaba has taken a hard line that the manual they sent is the best they can do, I was hoping some one else that is better at writing manuals and more informed about the various functions of the radio would produce one. I know that when the 9z came out a much better after market manual was soon to follow. As it stands now, I only understand about 1/4 of the various terms and functions of my radio. I have owned dozens of futaba radios and still like the product but the manual they supplied with the 14 MZ is a joke. I am prepared to spend more money to buy a good manual so someone out there..write a better manual and you will sell a lot of them as the most common complaint I have heard about this great radio is the poor manual.

Sincerly,
Randy Davis
