I have a ? about the Futaba 9C.
can you have flaps and aileron differencial at the same time in this radio? I have a Super 8 and I could'nt get it to work I went back to my 783 ( only in the UCD ) the 8 U manual says, you can get diff, by adjusting the travel move in the aileron and flap channels, well guess what, by doing that you kill the travel you need for flaps.
December is here can't get no better excuse to get a new radio.
Edwin.

Edwin,
The 8U and 9C BOTH do this without any difficulty. Do NOT adjust the distance of the flap settings that's what that setting is for.
go to where it says AIL1 and yoy have 100 100. lets assume ail1 is your right aileron. give right aileron stick. now the right 100 blinks. this is how much of its total travel the right aileron moves when you give right stick. it is going full up and you want that. now give left stick. right aileron servo is going 100% down. change that % to your desired differential.

I am assuming you have two seperate servo's for your ailerons and that you are attempting to get flaps and ailerons from these two, first they need to be plugged into there own seperate channels on the FF7 thats I and 6 then you need to disable Aileron diffential in the programme of the transmitter, you adjust the aileron differential in the Flapperon programme, you can then adjust the flap throw from the flap programme, for fun combine the Elevator Flap and see how tight you can loop switch it to enable flaps for landing and harriers if thats you bag. I use flaps up too land as it kills lift and allows a steeper aprouch. If you have side sliders put the flaps on that you can then adjust your rate of decent with the slider, up flap also allows a more stable harrier manouvre.

Sorry I forgott if you are thinking of buying the 9C the only thing I found you could not do was in the gliding programme you cannot take the crow function off the throttle stick, so if you have a electric powered glider you end up with all sorts of funny programming i.e. crow only works on the bottom half of the stick and throttle above, only the ZAP which I changed too allows you to move any function to any switch or slider, the ZAP though is heavy as it has a metal case, you have to have the bottom section of airial up to do a range check.
If you need any further help especially on the ZAP please ask.
