I recently purchased a new 9Z WC2 and started doing some sample programming to understand the conditions. However, I did not extend the antenna while programming or just moving through the pages. The radio was on for about 15 minute for each time. My concerns are, (after reading a FAQ on the Futaba site) did I cause damage to the module, and if so, how can I test for damage. What is FSS?
Thanks,
Roadie

Roadie,
Several 15 minute episodes probably did not damage your module. Unfortunately there is no way you can test for it except to send it for service for proper testing on the scopes.
FSS is the synthesized module. The non-synth modules are not labeled as FSS. It is Frequency Selection System.
