Default 6EXAS and Electron 6 Reciever

I have a Futaba FUTK54 That has the 6exas TX and R156F Rx It works great.. I also have a Hitec Electron 6 Rx that I would like to use in another plane. Now I tried to swap the Xtals with the recievers and I got nothing from the electron. The radio was set to PPM not PCM. I also tried PCM just for the hell of it.. Nothing.. I woud like to avoid buyin another Rx if I dont have to.. I have the Electron for the Hitec and Futaba Tx's W/ - shift

Is this radio compatable with other RX's? if so.. Why would this not work?

Here are the specs on the Electron6

Default RE: 6EXAS and Electron 6 Reciever

You need to use hitec dual conversion crystals in the electron 6. It should work fine then. Set tx to PPM .
