Having a hard time deciding between the 9C and the 7C. 9c is about 160.00 more than the 7C. I see the 7C has a rebate now of 30 merchandise or 15.00 cash. In my experiences before, a rebate means a new model is coming out soon so companies use a rebate to deplete their stock of the old stuff. Any insight on this??-----------Thanks Stashu

PS--Any help in deciding??--I am a mid-range beginner, BUT I want to get a radio I can grow into, but again I never see myself using more than 6 channels.

It all depends upon which features you are looking for. Here is where you can find the features of the different

The 7C transmitter is a recent release. The rebate may be offered to help sales of the unit. It's not slated for discontinuation any time soon.

Thanks for the info----I might go with the 7CAP. I have been looking at Tower and they had a few 7CAF's radios in stock with the majority of the Freq. avail in late June. I just went to Tower this morning and now it says late JULY. Is Futaba doing a mid-year update on this 7CAF radio??--it just seem very strange that Tower does not have almost any 7CAF models in stock. I know it's prime season but still they are losing buiness.

7CAF and 7CAP systems are in stock on a wide variety of channels. If you had only one channel in mind, then it may be temporarily out of stock. Check with your sales representative to see which ones are in stock. Many, many channels are available.

Tower must of just got them in them, as of yesterday, there were no available 7CAF.'s --Now I DO see tower has them in.
