Default 14mz and 12mz model question

how much are the models interchangable from the 14mzap to the 12mzhp if i create a heli model on my 14mz and move it over to my 12mzh will it work correctly? i am still working to figure out the 12 and i have had the 14 for long enough that i can get thru programing easy enough but they are different enough to be another learning curve.
thanks

Try it and let us know Seriously though I am told that models can be moved from 12 to 14 and will work like a champ. I have not tried this - as I can't imagine what I would do w/out the touch screen - aka 12 -but give it a shot and see if it works!

Hi darryl123,

As long as the name for the model being moved to the 12Z is 8 characters or less and the model of course doesn't use more than 12 channels, they are completely interchangeable.

Please see the FAQ and other 12Z FAQ's about this at:

http://www.futaba-rc.com/faq/faq-12z-q866.html

I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.

Sincerely,

Default RE: 14mz and 12mz model question

hi thanks for the answer krista.
here is another question.
the 14 mz is shift select but i cannot find any way to change the 12mz to positive shift, so if i create a model that uses positive shift in the 14mz for my blade cp will it work in the 12mz?
if not is there going to be a shift select update for the 12mz.
thanks

Hi Darryl,

At this time we have not heard if the 12Z will be updated to include the shift select feature.
If you have this in a model in your 14MZ it will of course, not carry over to your 12Z when you transfer a model.

I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.
