Futaba 6EXAP Antenna trouble
I have a 6EXAP Futaba Radio for planes. It has been a great radio thus far. But, I am now experiencing some strange interference that only occurs when my antenna is fully extended. When I touch the antenna, or side of the transmitter, my plane control surfaces begin to move around and I get servo chatter. When the antenna is down, it doesn't happen. Anyone ever had this problem? Do I need to send my transmitter in to be serviced?

RE: Futaba 6EXAP Antenna trouble
You can purchase a new transmitter antenna from your local hobby dealer or a mail order company and see if this helps before you send it in.
The part number and retail price for the new antenna would be:
FUTM5040 ANT5 TX AT 4VF 4YF 6YG 6X 6EXA 7C $8.99
If this doesn't help, then it would be time to send it in.
I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support technical team at 217-398-8970, or via fax at 217-398-7721.
