Default Noise ?

I have a new 1/4 scale plane and it is powered by a 42CC Taurus engine. With the engine running and transmitter antenna fully collapsed I get severe servo chatter when the transmitter is just ten feet from the receiver. If I touch the antenna with a finger the chatter goes away and I can walk back at least 50 feet with no problems. I tried two receivers and two transmitters with the same result. I moved the receiver antenna from inside the plane to the outside with no luck. The engine manufacturer is coming over soon to try a few things. Why would the servo chatter cease when I touch the antenna? Thanks in advance --- Ray

When you touch an antenna, the capacitance of your body is added to the antenna, and changes its characteristics.

If you haven't already tried it, move all your servos as far away from any ignition and engine items as possible, including ignition wiring, ignition battery, ignition cut-off switch, etc. Also, make sure you are not using metal connections or pushrods for your throttle.
