I want to use switch 'C' on my 9C for 3 position flaps (up, 1/2 flaps and full flaps) and mix in elevator too, but don't know how to do it. Each flap has its own servo connected to a 'Y' which is then plugged into ch 6.
Based on another post here I can get the desired flap movements (without elevator mixed in) using 2 Program mixes: the first Pmix is Offset as Master, channel 6 as slave, center position on switch C = rate needed for 1/2 flaps, and the 2nd Pmix again with Offset as Master, channel 6 as slave, switch C down = rate needed for full flaps.
Do I have to use 2 more program mixes to mix in the elevator (one mixing into 1/2 flaps and the other into full flaps?), a total of 4 mixes (!) being used just for elevator-adjusted flaps? or is there a simpler way?
Thanks.

Because you have both flaps working off of one channel, you don't have to use any mixers to use a 3-position switch. Just go into the AUX-CH section of the Basic Menu, and set channel 6 (Flaps) to a 3-position switch. Now your flaps will have 3 positions. You can go into the ATV section to set the endpoints.
Now move the switch to the 1/2-flaps position (the middle position). Set your servo linkage such that you have the amount of deflection you want with 1/2-flaps. Now move the switch to flaps 'up', and adjust the ATV of channel 6 so that the flaps are in the proper 'up' position. Toggle to flaps down and set the other endpoint.
Now just use a pmix with flaps as master and elevator as slave to get the elevator mixing. If you use pmix 6 or 7, you can fine-tune the exact points.

Here is how I set up a 3 position flap in the 9C.
First link Ch6 to Vr-A so that the end points can be set. Once the travel from no flaps to full flaps is adjusted, link Ch6 to Sw-C.
Second go to Pmix7. On the 2nd page, set:
MIX>OFF (shows when Sw-C is in up position)
MAS>FLAP
SLV>ELEV
LINK>ON
SW>C
POSI>CNTR&DWN
On the 1st page of Pmix7,
POS1>0% (no flaps)
POS2>0%
POS3>xx% (put Sw-C in center position and set 1/2 flap deflection)
POS4>0%
POS5>xx% (put Sw-C in down position and set full flap deflection)
