I see on the Futaba Japan website that there is an updated version of the CDR5000 charger "evolution 2"

It has the same part number and appears to be more of a running change than a new product, so
Is this updated version currently available in the US? if not, is there an ETA?
It lists "Batteries: NiCd, NiMH, Li-ion" is this Li-po capable?

We have the same information you do. Many times, saying "Li-ion" means you can charge "Li-po" cells, but maybe not. We don't know at this time if that unit will be available in North America.
