I have a 14mz on a35% gas plane. I am useing the new 14 channel receaver. I have apx 75 flights with 0 problems. Recently my throttle went to fail safe 2 times. After taking the plane apart for inspection I cant find the problem. The problem is not consistant and cannot duplicate the problem. All bolts are tight and batteries were up. Where do I start from here? Change throttle servo?, change connecters?, send recever in? Any ideas? Thanks Eric

Hi ericeffs,
This suggestion is from our FAQ on the 14MZ from our website, it should give you some ideas of things to check before sending the receiver in.
Things to look for are metal to carbon or metal to metal seems to be the worst source of noise. Any place where there is a loose bolt or screw and metal or carbon parts are allowed to rub against one another can create noise and make the receiver unhappy. Some examples of which we are aware include loose muffler, muffler rubbing on carbon or metal frames, loose bolts on the motor mount, loose boom struts where they attach to the frames or tail boom, bearings rotating in bearing blocks or other parts like a bell crank or bell mixer, loose bolts where the struts attach to the lower frames, a bolt of excessive length touching another part -- especially one that is rotating, etc. A loose connection between carbon parts can be a problem too. Have you tried filters on your servos? If not we would suggest starting out one at a time, adding a filter, and then re-range checking your craft.
I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support team at 217-398-8970 opt 2, or via fax at 217-398-7721.

Krysta,
I am currently working through the same sort of problem and have done everything in your suggestion to include changeing the Plugs, ignition, and servo leads.
FILTERs - may I get more information? What kind? Where do I get them? Which extensions do they go on? How are they installed? Etc??????
I have never used or seen them.
Thank You
Gil
