Default 12Z/14MZ RF Modules

Hey Baxter;

The old modules contained all of the RF stuff. There are reports that the new smaller 12Z/14MZ modules only have the frequency synthesis circuits and the power amplifier is in the TX box. Another report has it the other way around. Could you clarify this ?

Thank You

Default RE: 12Z/14MZ RF Modules

Hi Four Stroker,

The 12Z and 14MZ modules are basically just an RF amplifier, but they can be damaged by overheating if you set up your plane and do programming without the antenna installed for over 10 or 15 miuntes.

If at some point you have done this, please make sure to do a thorough range check before flying to verify that no damage was done to the module.

I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support team at 217-398-8970 opt 2, or via fax at 217-398-7721.

Sincerely,

Well that's not really an answer to the original question. Could you find an engineer for this one ?

Thank You
